Global Strategy for Fungal Conservation

The world has agreed to halt the loss of nature. It cannot be done without fungi.

The Global Strategy for Fungal Conservation is the first dedicated global framework for integrating fungi into conservation efforts, thereby supporting the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and guiding on-the-ground action. It was developed by the Global Fungal Conservation Network and will be launched at CBD COP17 in Yerevan, Armenia, in October 2026.

This site will hold the Strategy, the case studies and resources that support it, and information about the Network.

Join the Global Fungal Conservation Network

The Network brings together people working on fungal conservation across research, policy, and practice. Membership is open and free.
